SciTech Hands on Museum

If you want to learn about the world around you, then Downtown Aurora presents this wonderful science museum.

Located on Stolp Island, it’s the one-stop place for individuals who want to be inspired by the world around them.

SciTech Museum occupies around three stories. Therefore, visitors have enough space, approximately 30,000 sq ft. to explore. Inside, you’ll find more than 200 exhibits waiting to be discovered.

This is an excellent place for kids to learn more about magnetics, physics, electricity, and other interesting science topics.

Among other fascinating topics, individuals learn about conditions in the outer space as well as magic lights optics.

One can also host special events here, such as birthday parties. From camping to adventuring, everyone is catered for in this museum.

Charges are $10 for admission for visitors aged 4-59 years. But, senior adults and small kids below three years are offered a free entrance. This means that you can bring your whole family here for a weekend gateway.

RiverEdge Park

If you’re looking for a destination where all family members can have a good time, consider River Edge Park. It’s located between North Broadway and the Fox River. That means one can easily access it from anywhere in downtown Aurora.

There are many reasons we love this destination. First, the music from artists across different parts of the country is soothing and entertaining. Then there is the scenic outdoor event space for those who want to enjoy spectacular views.

Plus, RiverEdge Park accommodates all budgets. If money is not an issue, you can pay for a VIP seating area. But, if you want to cut down costs, one can go with a reserved concert or general admission seating.

Also, prepare your stomach because the food here is totally mouthwatering. From meats, sandwiches, to funnel cake sundaes prepared by professional chefs, you’ll surely love the taste of meals here. Not to mention, during concerts many food vendors show up.

Therefore, you can sample different munchies as you enjoy the music being played. However, if your budget is a bit tight, it doesn’t mean that you can’t eat. Individuals are also allowed to bring food from outside, as well.

Be sure to stick around for a bit after the show and take a walk along the river and see what nature has to offer.
